Poor Yorick, alas, is (are, was, will be) an Austin, Texas band conceived in a silly place and dedicated to the silly notion that people are going to ask what the band's name means no matter how many times we explain it. Since 1988 (and even before that) the band has been producing original rock, folk, progressive, sub-urban soul, urban-western, eclec-tric, heavy “mental” tunes and appearing at various Austin night spots such as Waterloo Icehouse and the late, great Austin Outhouse.
Over the years, and to the band's amazement,
people actually bought the recordings and
showed up at the live appearances with enough
regularity to make it all worthwhile.  And so the
silly saga continues...
Though the band's line-up has changed a bit over the years resulting in the occasional transient member (and we mean that in the nicest way), we've managed to cling together in one form or another.  In fact we're in the process of re-inventing ourselves yet again.  No mean feat.
Keep a lookout for the next release or live appearance.    Check out the discography.  Brouse through some pictures.   Take a hop over to the band's MySpace site for a few tunes, or just give a listen to some sample "snippets" of the band's songs over the years...Maybe even order a CD online.   Its all very technical!..but we're sure you can handle it.
